AGENDA FOR AFSA CHAPTER 1055

GENERAL MEMBERSHIP MEETING

20 May 2010

    1. Meeting called to order at 1748 hours

    2. Pledge of Allegiance, Invocation & Preamble

    3. Roll call to determine quorum: Quorum reached Noted first time all officers present.

4. Report of Standing Committees:

I. MSgt Meadows Budget and Finance & Treasurers report: need to get numbers from Meadows.

II. SSgt Cooper Legislative: not present

III. MSgt Castro Programs :
    1. Action Zone – the approved $500.00 will be $60.00 short to provide 5 families 2 weeks of coverage. The Auxiliary will pay the $60.00.
    2. Graffiti week- need to choose a date and put out the request to help clean up Fort Worth.
    3. Open suggestion an movie out night fund raiser at the movie tavern.
    4. Suggestion of an sport night out.
    5. Paint Ball for 15 member will be $250.00

IV. MSgt Meadows Communications
    1. Web page: check out the division page.
    2. Newsletter: Need officers to submit columns. Need an ROTC article and a banquet article from Mr. Claridge.

V. SMSgt (ret.) Claridge Membership: Bad addresses need to be addressed and a table will be put up for the 136 AW Family day on 27 June 2010.

VI. SrA McClure & A1C Sims Airman Activity Coordinator: Nothing reported

VII. MSgt Manire` Awards: awards letters went out a little late.

VIII. Veteran’s Council: nothing to report

VIIII. SMSgt (ret.) McHan Ways & Means: nothing to report
    1. Old Business
      1. Standing Rules :

        a). Rule 2-13 amended to state if officer missed 2 meeting unexcused the president can bring to the council for the trustee to be removed for cause. Motion presented by Pollard 2nd by Castro, Carried.

        b). Rule 2-3 to amend to put guide line directly in the rule 100-4 part 2. Motion by John 2nd by Claridge motion carried.

        c.) Rule 2-5 amended to remove the funding for the blazers and name plates. Motioned presented by Pollard 2nd by Meadows motion carried.

      2. Calendar: corrections need to be made.
      3. Action zone Sponsorship of a few Air Force families not to go over $500.00: will provide 5 families 2 weeks of coverage

    1. New Business:
      1. Fundraisers, merchandise to sell during membership drives: if you need supplies see the president.
      2. 136th Family Day Sponsor in the amount $250.00: Motion presented by Meadows to donate $250.00 to the 136th AW family day. 2nd by John motion carried.
      3. Booth to set up @ the 136th Family Day: Yes in the afternoon.
      4. A1C Sims is deployed to the AOR for 6 months: if you want his address see the president.
      5. Scholarships past due! To be sent out! Need to get out ASAP: additional questions see Manire.

      　

    2. Open Forum:

New division Trustees Pollard is Programs /Communication and Szeszko is Communications /Programs.

The Chapter will be hosting the division convention. Much discussion on the hotel and arrangements.
